Common questions

How long does it take?

Under a minute if you have a recent bill to hand. You enter a few details and see prices straight away.

What do I need to get a quote?

A recent bill. It has your meter number (MPAN for electricity, MPRN for gas), your current unit rate and your usage. That's everything we need.

Will switching disrupt my supply?

No. The electricity and gas are exactly the same. The wires and pipes don't change. Only your billing and the price move across to the new supplier.

How do you make money if it's free to me?

The supplier pays us a fee when you switch. It's the same fee whoever you choose, which is why we've no reason to steer you. We don't add anything hidden to your bill.

Can I switch before my contract ends?

You can usually line up a new deal in advance so it starts the day your current one ends. Leaving early normally means a charge from your existing supplier, so it's worth checking your end date. We'll flag it.

Can I get a green tariff?

Yes. Several of the 36 suppliers offer renewable electricity. You can compare green tariffs alongside standard ones.
