Energy Bureau Analyst
Location: Birmingham Office / Hybrid
Type: Permanent – Full Time
Salary: £30,000–£35,000 per annum
The Role
As an Energy Bureau Analyst at TNEH, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing, validating, and interpreting energy data for our commercial and public-sector clients. Using SystemsLink and other analytical tools, you’ll ensure data integrity, resolve billing discrepancies, and deliver insights that empower clients to reduce energy waste, costs, and carbon emissions.
This is a detail-driven, analytical role that combines technical precision with excellent communication. You’ll also gain exposure to the latest industry reporting standards and carbon-tracking tools, opening clear progression routes into sustainability, reporting leadership, or account management.
Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio Management: Own and manage energy and utility data for a portfolio of business clients.
- Bill Validation: Perform thorough energy bill validations to identify and resolve discrepancies with suppliers.
- Reporting & Insights: Produce high-quality energy, consumption, and carbon reports — including SECR, ESOS, and bespoke client dashboards.
- Budget Reporting: Produce interactive, bespoke budgets reports for clients to understand future energy costs and consumption trends
- Client Onboarding: Support the setup of new client portfolios in SystemsLink and ensure seamless service delivery in line with SLAs.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Procurement, and Net Zero teams to deliver integrated, best-in-class energy solutions.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and suggest enhancements to bureau processes and client reporting.
- Compliance: Ensure all data management and reporting activities comply with UK energy and sustainability regulations.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Experience using SystemsLink
- Strong Excel and analytical skills with a data-first mindset.
Understanding of UK energy billing, metering, and procurement principles. - Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Team player who takes ownership and accountability for their work.
Desirable
- Experience producing SECR, ESOS, or Net Zero reports.
- Knowledge of MPANs/MPRNs, HH/NHH meters, and UK market data flows.
- Familiarity with bureau KPIs, SLA reporting, or flexible energy contracts.
Results Expected
- Client data within SystemsLink is clean, accurate, and up to date.
- Billing discrepancies are resolved promptly and professionally.
- Reports are delivered on time and provide meaningful insights.
- KPIs and SLAs are consistently achieved or exceeded.
- Clients recognise measurable improvements in cost control, energy efficiency, and carbon performance.

Sales Development Representative
Location: Birmingham Office / Hybrid
Type: Permanent – Full Time
Salary: £24,000–£26,000 per annum base plus commission and performance bonuses (OTE £38k-£45k)
The Role
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at TNEH, you’ll be the first point of contact for organisations exploring smarter energy solutions or strategic energy procurement.
Your mission is twofold:
Generate new business by proactively engaging target prospects and decision-makers.
Re-engage and convert existing or lapsed customers who could benefit from a renewed energy strategy or upcoming renewal review.
You’ll receive comprehensive in-house training and mentorship from senior sales and energy consultants, giving you all the tools to progress into an Energy Consultant or Account Manager role within 6–12 months – with an OTE of £40,000–£70,000+.
Key Responsibilities
- Outbound Prospecting: Proactively identify and engage new businesses across key sectors (education, SME, commercial, and public sector).
- Lead Re-engagement: Contact previous clients, expired accounts, and historical enquiries from our CRM to assess renewal opportunities or introduce new services.
- Pipeline Generation: Book qualified appointments for Energy Consultants by understanding client needs, energy usage, and renewal timelines.
- Account Revival: Reconnect with organisations that once engaged with TNEH but didn’t proceed — rekindling interest through insight, new offerings, or better timing.
- CRM Management: Maintain detailed and accurate notes of outreach activity, lead status, and conversion outcomes.
- Campaign Follow-Up: Partner with marketing to follow up on warm leads generated through digital campaigns, webinars, or sustainability initiatives.
- Target Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed monthly KPIs for calls, meetings, and conversions.
- Brand Representation: Represent TNEH with professionalism, energy, and credibility – demonstrating our values of transparency, innovation, and customer focus.
- Compliance & Quality: Adhere to Ofgem, ADR and internal compliance standards in all client interactions.
